Abigail is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where she qualified with a first class honours Bachelor’s degree in Zoology. She successfully completed a Masters degree at the University of Jos in Applied Entomology and Parasitology in 1989.

After working with several international companies she joined Emergency Medical care Holdings Ltd (the medical platform of AXA Assistance Paris) in 2001,  as business development Consultant for West and Central Africa, where she was involved in the start up and running of emergency medical centres in remote areas e.g. Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. She set up and was a director in the Nigerian Subsidiary EMC Nigeria Limited till 2010 advising their head office in Paris. She became General Manager of UNIC Health in 2005 and was involved in the running, development and monitoring of the UNIC health Insurance scheme and UNIC Insurance’s health division as a whole. She created UNIC’s international health insurance unit, supervising the set up of distribution channels and branch networks. She oversaw and ran staff training programmes.

She is a breast cancer survivor and a patient advocate, using her personal experience to support and counsel cancer patients.

Abigail is a Director at Centrepoint Medical Services Limited. She is fluent in French and manages Centrepoint’s international partnerships and overall business strategy. She has headed several projects with international partners to find affordable tools to improve and ensure early diagnosis and treatment.

Thanks to her many years in the medical field both locally and internationally, she co-ordinates all customer relations and patient navigation for Centrepoint as well as medical evacuations by air and land ambulance.
